Cousin Lily's 1st Birthday!

We went up to Chattanooga the last week in June to celebrate my niece Lily's first birthday!! The cousins all loved playing together and helping Lily eat lots of cake!!!!
Lily definitely enjoyed her cake!

This is Irie, my brother Ryan's son and Adelaide just ADORES him!
They are nothing but trouble when they get together!!

Lily wasn't too sure about letting Adelaide brush her hair! She's looking at her like "Back off!"

We stopped at Cracker Barrel for dinner on the way up to Chattanooga and Adelaide
found this "cape" in the gift shop. She insisted on getting it and didn't take it off the ENTIRE weekend,
even wearing it to the birthday party.

Little piggy loves some cupcake! :-)

New Bike from the "Paci Fairy"

We decided it was time for Adelaide to give up her paci so we called the "Paci Fairy" and Adelaide promised her that she would round up all of her pacis and put them in a bag for the Paci Fairy to pick up and deliver to newborn babies.  In return, the Paci Fairy promised that she would bring Adelaide a big girl bicycle. She made it very clear that this was NOT the kind of thing she usually did, and it was certainly not the kind of present the Tooth Fairy would EVER consider, but she was making a special consideration since she knew how hard it was for Adelaide to part with her paci's.  Adelaide was so excited to gather up all of her paci's and placed them on the table next to her bed.  In the morning she woke up to find that the Paci Fairy had indeed come and left her a shiny, new princess bike. So, at 5:55 am we were out front testing it out!  She only asked about her paci's one time that afternoon but otherwise, she was done with them for good!!

Boat Trip

We took the kids down to Fairhope so they could stay with Paw Paw and Lele while we went to Jamaica.  Before we left we went on a 3-day boat trip on Paw Paw's new boat.  The girls had so much fun.  We anchored down near orange beach, went fishing, played on the beach and sat on the boat at night looking at the stars.  The girls loved it!  There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms so we had alot more room than we ever had on the sailboat growing up and we even had satellite TV so were certainly weren't roughing it - but that being said, 3 days on a boat with 4 adults and two children was plenty of time!!

Listening intently as Paw Paw plotted our course!

When we got back from our trip, I took Adelaide to get her first pedicure before I left town for Jamaica.  She wasn't really into the whole "foot soaking" part of it, but she did let the lady paint her toes and fingers.
